Opposing Views

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were a makeshift pairing who had absolutely no desire to team together. They had vastly different outlooks on life. Ambrose was bleak and nihilistic while Rollins had a "seize the day" type of mentality. But despite the fact that they couldn't stand one another they had somehow managed to become Tag Team Champions. No small feat considering the team they defeated a team who had held a death grip on the gold for months. However this didn't do very much to improve the team's cohesiveness. In fact, it may have even made things worse. In recent weeks they haven't even cut promo's together. Despite that their number one contenders, Christian and Rhyno, were gunning for them as a unit, they seemed to take on the challenger as individuals.

But on this day they were in the same hotel room. It had been set-up for a promo where beloved veteran announcer Jim Ross sat in between them. Ambrose had his knee's pulled up to his chest and his arms wrapped around his legs which were covered in tattered jeans. A black t-shirt covered his lanky frame and his shaggy hair was it's usual mess. Seth Rollins sat to the left of J.R. with his title slung over his shoulder and his long hair pulled back and hidden behind a baseball cap. Both men still seemed to be strictly on their own agenda.

Jim Ross: Dean, Seth, thank you for joining me here on the eve of your first title defense against Christian and Rhyno.

Seth Rollins: It's a pleasure, Jim.

Dean Ambrose: You're the voice of a program that destroy's lives. How does that make you feel?

Ross looked to Rollins for some kind of clarification.

Seth Rollins: He doesn't take his meds. Don't take anything he says to heart.

Dean Ambrose: I'm supposed to take meds but I'm afraid they'll do something to my dick so..

Ross cleared his throat and danced around that statement.

Jim Ross: You have both only been here a short amount of time and yet you quickly managed to become champions. And at the expense of two men, Zack Ryder and Trent Barreta who have achieved a lot of notoriety in this company. And yet you both seem to have a strong dislike for one another. It must be a daunting task to know you have to rely on someone you can't truly call a partner.

Dean Ambrose: I don't have a strong dislike for Seth. Honest. He just needs to think the way I do and stop respecting all of these so called SUPERSTARS.

Seth Rollins: As I said before..I like a challenge. And this is a challenge. I'll come out stronger from it.

Rollins never looked took a glance in Ambrose's direction despite the fact that the latter was staring directly towards him.

Jim Ross: You're both very young, both twenty six years of age. Seth, you cut your teeth in Ring Of Honor like a few others in our roster. While you, Dean, were involved in far more gory and violent underground promotions.

Dean Ambrose: Ring of pussies.

Ambrose leaned forward to try and get a reaction out of Rollins but he refused to bite.

Seth Rollins: He came from places like CZW which is a glorified backyard federation. Those are the hard facts.

Jim Ross: Despite your differences, you both have established a very strong win-loss record. Your opponents, Rhyno and Christian, have a wealth of experience over the both of you. And yet you have both beaten them in individual matches leading up to this contest.

Seth Rollins: It's what I'm here to do. Win matches. And every time I win a match I climb higher up the ladder. Christian and Rhyno couldn't get the job down in singles and they aren't going to fare any better when the titles are on the lines. Those are two vets and I respect them but my time is now and I'm not going to be derailed by them or anyone else.

Dean Ambrose: What kind of human being is Rhyno? In ECW, I watched him piledrive a defenseless woman through a table. And he is the kind of person this company positions as a "fan favorite"? It's sickening. I've pretty much said all I've needed to about Christian. And I can't wait to hurt him and take out all these years of pent up anger out on this punk ass again.

Jim Ross: This is another point I was wanting to bring up. You, Seth want to win matches and show off your skill. While you, Dean, seem to want to completely incapacitate your opponents.

Dean Ambrose: All I'm trying to do is make the world a better, cleaner, safer place. And I can do that by getting rid of people like Christian and Rhyno. But I'm not "crazy" or "demented." Far from it. I know exactly what I'm doing at all times. I almost feel sympathy for these people. The allure of fame and fortune is very strong. I'm even sorry to hear that Christian's stupid cat died.

Jim Ross: And you, Seth?

Seth Rollins: Sitting in a room with him makes my skin crawl.

Rollins had closed his eyes tightly for a moment before opening them once more to stare straight ahead.

Seth Rollins: The way I see it, I won these titles myself. He walked out on me and I was still able to come up with a victory. It's very clear and apparent that I don't need him. If I could beat Ryder and Barreta by myself I don't see why I would have any trouble doing the same to Rhyno and Christian.

Dean Ambrose: Don't be stupid. Of course you need me. You don't have the balls to do what needs to be done. Seth Rollins isn't going to go down to the ring and make Christian and Rhyno pay for everything they've done. He isn't going to make them choke on their own blood and vomit. But I don't have that problem. I have no issues doing what needs to be done.

Rollins' usually stoic expression was beginning to show signs of anger. He snapped his head in the direction of Ambrose.

Seth Rollins: You haven no idea what I'm capable of.

Dean Ambrose: You have an entire, brain washed, sea drones out that in that audience who are just waiting to see it. Or are you going to give Christian a "respectful" hand shake and a hug after the match? I'm sure he's so hurt that his little kitty died. Maybe you can buy him a new one, Seth!

Rollins tossed off his hat and pushed himself to his feet.

Seth Rollins: Stand up so I can knock your teeth down your throat.

Dean Ambrose: Oh, you don't want to do that. Besides. I'm not your enemy. Save it for Christian and Rhyno and their stupid little twitter hashtag slogans.

Seth Rollins: Just because I'm not borderline psychotic like you doesn't mean I'm soft. Stand on the apron and watch what happens to them.

Rollins left the room, slamming the door behind him in the process. Ambrose watched him leave with a crooked smile.

Dean Ambrose: Still hope for that one yet.

That smile was quickly replaced with a scowl as he turned his head towards Ross.

Dean Ambrose: I would love to silence you. Forever. So that another word of propaganda never spilled from your lips again. But I've got bigger targets. Your day is going to come eventually. You and your camera crew should go.

Ross nodded in compliance and motioned for the camera to stop filming.
